no snappy names for you, but I lease space from Hostica.com, they're great. Also they do DNS registration and admin for about $10 a year.=20 Another buck a year to park it there, and you can redirect to your IP. I have a bunch of sites redirected via CNAME to dyndns.com, then use their webhop service to point to my cable modem, running apache, php, and mysql (apache virtual hosts are slick. Although my IP doesn't change much, this setup allows for a dynamic IP, my home server has an auto update feature that works with dyndns. If you don't have a static IP this is a good way to go. Email me off line if you need elaboration. I also have used no-ip.com, it works too. I've tried setting up dns with granitecanyon.com, but I can't seem to get the registrar to stick, so for the $0.14 US a month I just park them at Hostica.com. I've also used xname.com, it works too. I think the best way to go is have whoever has the tech reg on the dns to be the registrar, IMO, I have found it's not worth going the free route just to save less than the beer I throw down the drain every month, so I just leave them all at hostica.com . . . --- Philip Pemberton wrote: > In message <002901c51101$06029840$090044c0@BrianBoru> > "John J.
