Or, to stray a bit more, look at unison for syncing directories:
http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/

It's completely free (they don't state it quite clearly, but it seems that
the freeware version of xxcopy doesn't support network copies? in any case
it is not free for any commercial use), and it has a few nice features for
syncing large directories.
