I finally have all the right parts for the subject, and have it all breadboarded together for a step-down converter (http://jrem.webhop.org/2360_a.jpg). I'm running approx 17vdc in, 5v out, pulling about 80ma@5vdc, and that inductor gets HOT (too hot to touch). Is this normal? what do you do to heatsink an inductor like this? Regards, John. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
