I am looking for a simple way to measure the power consumption of a PIC board. The real goal is to determine if this board can be safely stuffed in the cavity inside a concrete wall. The cavity is the typical 6x4" type cavity behind your typical wall plug. I am planning to measure the current flowing to the board by placing an ammeter in series with the board's power supply. Then I'd measure the voltage the board's input power pin and input ground pin. I believe this would give me P=VI. Is this the simplest way to get the power consumption and therefore a rough estimate of the board's heat dissipation? What have other people tried? --- Laura --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - You care about security.
