I'm amazed! Only 10% being ignorant of a political document is a surprisingly small number. How did they tell 90% of the population about it, I wonder? > But half of the 25,000 polled by the EU said > they would vote in favour of the treaty, which > faces referenda in many of the union's 25 member > states." I don't understand their "But" - I just don't see how a 50/50 split shows much of anything, expecially in relation to the 90% more-than-a-little-knowledge figure. It does annoy me when reporters use inappropriate language when quoting statistics - I've seen things like: "Public slam Government's X plans! 52% of those in our survey said they were against the Government X plans..." 52% is hardly a "slam" - it's barely a majority! > Huh???!!! What does this relate to?
