But that's not what he said. He said "putting out upwards of maybe 80 watts *under* a dead short" NOT "*into* a dead short". The difference is significant. In the former case the short dissipates nothing but the leads etc dissipate 80 watts, as happens even in the slightly less than ideal case. In the latter case patents should be filed as quickly as possible. The distinction may be considered to be nit picking, but it does need to be made if you are going to pick nits.
