I don't remember that with my 1989 SHO. Of course I had the 5 speed so maybe that 5th speed overdrive had the gear ratio to handle it. I push that vehicle once in my younger days on a 470 mile trip from New Orleans to Atlanta. I made it in 5.5 hours flat door to door. I found it was smooth up to about 125 MPH and vibrated a bit after that. And people wonder why under 25 year old umarried males with no kids have such high insurance rates...
