The demo also has some usefull features disabled, and worst of all it compiles excruciatingly slowly. If you have a project with, say, 20-30 modules to compile and link you could grow old waiting for it. The size limitation with the PICLITE compiler is imposed by the linker AFAIK, so whilst you could compile lots of small modules, if the total size was over 2k the linker would choke.
