In most areas it is illegal to purposely interfere with police speed measuring devices. If you can come up with a completely legitimate and believable reason that you needed IR LEDs on your plate you MAY get away with it. OTOH you may not, and end up in BIG trouble. I find this whole "issue" just silly. The best way to defeat radar/lidar is VERY simple: DON'T SPEED.
