    Same experience here.  I recently needed to look at some Apple
    II code that I wrote twenty years ago.  The floppy disk had been
    in a shoebox for at least 18 years, but when I dragged it and the
    computer out of storage, the disk (BOTH sides of it, even) read
    just fine. 

    The Apple's Sider hard drive, though, hasn't held up so well. It
    booted up, but many of its files were unreadable, and one of its
    partitions had just disappeared.
