Similar in principle to what I posted.
My circuit draws essentially zero current when off. Yours should too.
You may want a small capacitor on the FET gate to keep power on while 
PIC wakes up.

Your high voltage feed to the keypad matrix would cause PIC problems 
if not divided down.
