There have been several models with this problem, it has always been the connector at the PC board rather than the glass, and wiggling takes care of it(unless you have a contamination/corrosion problem). Also, I have a really old Palm Pilot Professional that has minor digitizer issues due to the softcase pressing on the screen all the time, so it's a little inexact but not bad. If it were new and expensive I'd try to avoid having a case that does that - but it hasn't gotten worse over the years.
