since Beagle II failed to respond...  :-)

It seems to have been an amazing success, and 
considering it's more than 1 light-hour from Earth and 
therefore had to be completely autonomous, it's even 
more remarkable - well done that team!

I wonder what sort of electronics they use that can 
operate in those deep cold conditions for so long?
