The pictures have illegal URLs like this one:

http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist/biketut/..\..\..\images\piclist\biketut\fig1.jpg

IE will apparently "fix" those backslashes into forward slashes, but any
browser that tries to retrieve that URL as-is will get an "address
rejected" error from the server.
