If you are really courageous, a 1.5v AA battery and a 200ohm...1k resistor in series will tell you what pin is what. Doubt you would do damage since most LEDs can withstand a reverse voltage of 1.5v... If you are unsure about damage, you can add a diode to drop the voltage to 1v and a 200ohm...1k resistor. Most LEDs should be able to handle 10mA easily. On the other hand, you may just want to type in 627 and see what you got on digikey..... you probably may have something like one of these: http://www.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Criteria?Ref=142314&Site=US&Cat=31851332 -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
