Dennis, I was going to join the paranoid club, but then I was afraid to... GRC.COM (a great resource) says my ports are all clamped shut, that is good. So you would argue that sharing files behind the firewall would not be a problem? Right now I am using sneakernet to move files, even though the computers are networked. Partly this is because I am not finished setting them up (this is all the result of Santa Claus upgrading my system!) But partly because I was not sure how secure sharing files would be. P.S. If you are not paranoid, that is because they are giving you enough space to let down your guard. >Test your Firewall. All your port have to be stealth at snipping attempt. The best choice is to buy a 3Com or SMC Router with NAT. Obvioulsly, you still need a good antivirus and spyware and.... and... But you can share printers and files safety.
