Well yes, but not on its own - or at least not out-of-the-box. It has a 6-way socket (RJ11?) and cable with a 6-way plug at each end, and you'd need to make your own adaptor or cable for In Circuit Serial Programming, or buy one of the MC devices that interfaces with it. I bought (a while ago, so no discount) the ICD2 set that includes the PICdem 2+ (part no. DV164006), which gives you the capability of debugging / programming the 18, 28 and 40 pin chips straight away. This combined product doesn't seem to be in the Holiday offer, but the PICdem 2+ is, seperately from the ICD2. Alternatively, there's the "Universal Programming Module", part no. AC162049, which is basically a ZIF socket with a 6-way ICD2 socket and a patch area to connect the two, for (obviously) out-of-circuit programming of any PIC that the ICD2 supports in DIP packaging.
