A company is supposed to charge sales tax if the product is being shipped to the same state or if the company has a physical presence in the state that the items are being shipped to. This is partially why many companies separate their online business from their brick-and-mortar stores as 2 different entities. Newark is an odd case since they charged me sales tax to Texas, but could not show me where their Texas office was, so it's hard to say what they will do for international orders. BTW, Newark also forced a shipping insurance on me, even though UPS automatically insured the package. Cheers, -Neil.
