Here in the US, I would expect to see performances like this at Universities, of all size. My undergraduate was at a school of < 12000 students, I currently work at a unversity of > 25000 students, and I would not be at all surprised to see a Crimean chamber choir at either one. In fact, we recently had a Ukrainian folk-dance group through. I'd start by trying to contact student groups at the schools in question. For example, here at Iowa State University, I'd try getting in touch with the Russian Speaking Student Association to try and find an "agent" in the school. Unfortunately, there is no Ukrainian Student Association, but I know several Ukrainian students in that group. I don't know how helpful this info is, but it's a start.
