Hi everyone, Been using DC-DC converters more and more nowadays, and was experimenting with Linear's Switcher-CAD software. I noticed that the startup transients are pretty high (relative to the desired output voltage) on the simulator. Example: 5V buck regulator has a transient up to 6.5V. And I'm discovering that other buck converters do this as well. Isn't this a problem for PIC and/or TTL circuits? Or is the duration of this transient (few milliseconds) too short to cause any damage?
