You can send binary data with HyperTerminal but you need to put the data that you want to send in a file first. Using a Hex editor (UltraEdit for example) create a file containing the binary data you want to send. Select "Transfer" then "Send text file" and select your file. Yeah, I know it says "send TEXT file", but try it. HyperTerminal doesn't really seem to care what is in the file - it just sends out the data. I use this method and it works for me. I'm sure there are more elegant ways to do this, but I have found that this works - and HyperTerminal is usually available wherever I happen to be. -Mark > -----Original Message----- > From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu]On Behalf > Of Harold Hallikainen > Sent: Friday, December 17, 2004 1:30 PM > To: piclist@mit.edu > Subject: [PIC] Debugging by getting Windoze to send binary code > > > I'm working on a project using the PIC UART (being driven by a Silicon > Systems USB to UART bridge).
