We're currently using ME Labs PicBasic Pro > v2.43 and are considering the Proton+ compiler from Crownhill Associates. Does anyone > have experience with these which they could share? > > Thanks, > Alex Parkinson You can download the Proton+ demo & manual from the links below. Single 19 mb file for high speed connections: http://www.picbasic.org/proton_ds_lite.zip Manual: http://www.picbasic.org/proton_ds_userguide.pdf Multiple .zip files for dialup connections: http://www.picbasic.org/dialup/ I use PBP, Proton+, CCS C, and assembler. All are excellent tools, but which one I use depends on what the application is, timing requirements, code size restrictions, features one compiler offers the other doesn't, etc, etc. Things I just wouldn't know without testing them myself. They're all excellent tools, but getting familiar with assembler & internal registers is a must.
