A pleasant alliteration indeed, but I've never heard of "pedagological" before.
Did you mean pedagogical?

Sometimes a more expensive solution is less expensive when you already have the
parts.  Still I appreciate the mention of the 74* chips for consideration.  The
dual 2-4 chip is $4.50 here at a local store.  Does anyone know a good supplier
of small quantities of ttl logic chips at more reasonable prices?  It seems
like many online retailers even want > 1.25 per piece.
