I'm not trying to bust your chops here, but, the cutting most edge of technology was making a working atomic, and only capitalist America did this. This is history, a fact. And the nazis were certainly socialists, they nationalized everything. Check it out yourself. As for Moore's Law. IMO, 'it', is an observation. Are not all laws of science and nature so? Man's mind, left free to create, (and reap the total benefits of this creation), in the quantifiable realm of microprocessors, quantifiable and observable, doubles capacity about every eighteen months, to two years. I think this is a feature of human creativity, not microprocessors or science. But it's only a guess. We've really had so little experience with economic freedom that it is hard to tell. But America, even with limited economic freedom, in the span of only 200 years, has outdone all of human history in terms of producing a standard of living beyond all that has existed before. Only a hundred years ago, we were riding horses and smelling horse shit twenty four seven. Thanks America, thank you! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Russell McMahon" To: "Microcontroller discussion list - Public."
