I had my first problem with MPLAB 7.0 yesterday.

After a hard day programming, I changed a couple of lines of code and whe=
n I
recompiled the code it came up with a box saying "Critical Error"

I closed down MPLAB and restarted it - it restarted with the previous
project I'd opened (not the current one I'd been working on for a couple =
of
days). I closed this down and reopened the current project.

All appeared well until I recompiled the code and it bombed out again wit=
h a
fatal protection error.

I restarted the machine and tried again - same result :-(

I then deleted the .mcp file and all non .asm files in the working direct=
ory
and set up a new project and it started working again (phew).

I didn=92t have this problem (ever) with version 6.x so I hope it was jus=
t a
glitch - fingers crossed.
