These are potentially worse than useless as these, unless they are matched plug and socket in a particular application, will lead people to try and use the wrong equipment with them. One way you get a loose fit and bad contacts. The other way, if you are lucky they won't go it. If you are unlucky they will - once anyway ;-(.
