Hi. Not directly related to LVP, but the recomendation is to not leave any input pin unconnected. CMOS input pins, while unconnected, are very high imp, and picks up noice, mostly 50/60 Hz mains inerference. This can get the input pin into some state where it will draw more current than usual.
