Why not look for a proper industrial PC solution? You get the CPU(s) on one card that plugs into a backplane that can have numerous PCI or ISA slots. A single fast P4 solution would be much easier to source, and of course faster. If you want to stick with the P3 for whatever reason dual CPU cards for them are still available.
