Well I don't know about the compass bits, but I always use the 16F628A as an external / daughter MCU. It has pleanty of features and is dirt cheap. You could have it running several sensors if you like. However I do hear great things about the F878 (If I recall correctly), never used one though. Out of interest, what is the project? Justin.
