FWIW: My understanding (based on decades old recollections of what I was told at a seminar when the 68HC11 was introduced) was that the GM cpu was custom built for them and that the 68HC11 was a slightly less capable design spin off. If so it's unikely that the information is officially available. I think some of the difefrenc erelated to the capture/compare function with the GM part being more capable. Understandable as timing is at the heart of the processes involved.
