Combining the spark ignitor with some kind of glowplug arrangement to heat the oil in the wick above it's flashpoint should work ok, but you'd need to supply a considerable current to the lamps. A solenoid controlled disposable lighter perhaps, but that introduces safety problems. How were you going to extinguish the flame remotely?
