Quick check: Internet Health Report (shows latency over major backbone providers) http://www2.internetpulse.com/1/ Nothing abnormal there... CERT (US Computer Emergency Readiness Team) says http://www.cert.org/nav/index_red.html http://www.us-cert.gov/current/current_activity.html nothing unusual is going on SANS Internet Storm Center http://isc.sans.org/ reports nothing unusual Microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/security/default.mspx doesn't have any unusual patches available SecurityFocus http://securityfocus.com/ Is still reporting on the "keylogging != wiretapping" case - nothing unusual there Infosecdaily http://www.infosecdaily.net/ has no new news And bugtraq http://securityfocus.com/archive/1 Doesn't seem to have any big found bugs currently reported. So I don't understand what problem there might be. I suspect that holiday internet traffic tonight will spike slightly (but noticably) as people look up weather and travel related information for the US Thanksgiving holiday. If there's a severe problem elsewhere int he world, I'd suspect that a key backbone might be dark, but people would report that instantly if that were the case. Probably will find out tomorrow if it's anything especially unusual. -Adam John J.
