Hi:

A couple of years ago got some 10 Mhz unit oscillators which clock the PIC and firmware divides that down to 1 Pulse Per Second and measured the period with a very good measurement system.  I went through maybe a half dozen unit oscillators (each from a different manufacturer) purchased from different distributors and NONE of them were any good.  They ALL were leaking which shows up in the aging plot.  The custom built units I got from Sentry behave as they should.  Sentry Excel data on request.

I expect that there may be a similar leakage problem with crystals.  The only way to know is to age them and see how they do.
