IMHO the learning curve to move between PIC and AVR is just a tiny=20 little hill. At least if you code in some high level language like C.=20 Its a litter higher (the hill...) if you code in asm but no bigger=20 problem. The winavr development suite is free and very good. and all=20 tools are also available on Linux. I work on both all the time and select from both families before=20 starting a new project. A younger guy then me with a brain further away=20 from death would probably equally well handle MSP and Freescale at the=20 same time. This is however to much to me.... /Ake Roy J.
