Agreed - I have become rather used to the PIC, and have a lot of hardware and time invested in working with it, so climbing=20 the learning curve on the AVRs hasn't been really worth it to=20 me -- so far. I suppose that could change is there were to be a "killer app" that would only work on AVRs. Roy J. Gromlich -----------Dave VanHorn said ---------------- VBG I would tend to agree. No "holes", no "pages". Also, 16 "W" register equivalents, and 16 more near equivalents, makes = for=20 faster code. Many things can be kept in the registers and modified directly, instead = of=20 load from SRAM, modify, and store. They've always had vectored interrupts as well. _______________________________________________ http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist _______________________________________________ http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
