This may be more than you are looking for but... These units function as either data or voice transceivers. RXA is specified as 460mw into 8 ohms. They do not have a squelch, but the COR_ line can be tied to the gate on a 2n7000 mosfet source grounded, drain tied to a resistor coming from RXA for a quick and dirty squelch. Or use a comparator with a pot as the squelch control and use the RSSI to the other input of the comparator to build a real squelch control. NOTE however these units are not cheap, require an FCC license, and are only sold to dealers. We are a dealer and use them in some of our products. They are programmable for wide or narrow band, high or low power, the high power is 5watts but the duty cycle must be kept short, low is about 2 watts but there is a trimpot to turn it down further. A 0 - 5 volt signal fed through a 22k resistor will give good results for digital, or a smaller signal amplitude through a trimpot will work for audio. KF4HAZ - Lonnie ----- From: "Shawn Yates"
