As many others have said - anything which can program a PIC can ERASE the chip, and doing so will reset the code protect bit. =20 Now, if you are trying to turn code protection OFF without erasing the code which is in there, you have a problem. That is exactly what the code protect bit is in there to prevent. Please be more specific as to what and why. Roy J.
