Depends on your definition of "novice". Many of the recent "novices" on
the piclist have been novices only to the PIC, but had substantial
experience in other domains. Anyone who's been using HLLs for a while is
VERY familiar with debugging compiler faults, so to handicap them on the
PIC side is unreasonable IMHO.
