The actual force of gravity will be not too different than it is on the surface. After all, what's another ~100 km or so compared with the ~6400 km radius of Earth as a whole? The real trick is in the flight plan. SpaceShip One is really just a small, glorified Vomet Comet that goes far higher and so experiences "weightlessness" much longer. Mike H.
