Is there a time-saving method for generating LUT's for arbitrary waveforms,
as opposed to manually plotting them on a graph?

Maybe a program that would create one from a line drawing or WAV file in
the number of steps required, or some intermediary technique.

In the past, I have used a drawing program (CorelDraw) and superimposed a
scan of the wave upon a grid, usually 256 wide. But this still requires
manual notation and entering of the data.
