Metrowerks also give you a version of codewarrior that as a limit of code of 16K which is sufficient for most applications. Of course you can play about with the linker and use those 16k as many times as you want but may become a bit messy... Subject: Re: [EE:] Free samples from Freescale that's a wonderful thing! and about time. good timing as well since i want to use their processors in an upcoming project. people should also know that metrowerks is another division of motorola, and you can get a fully functional time limited version of any of their "code warrior" development tools which are usually very good (and of course for an individual you can keep reinstalling the demo with some work, though any commercial enterprise should obviously license it properly) it would be really nice if they had student or similar licensing programs for some of those, like they do for the windows and mac versions of codewarrior (i own several old versions i got cheap, very, very nice). perhaps that's on it's way, motorola/freescale is nice enough to point you to some gpl tools for the older micros. now we all just have to reframe from abusing the sample privilege too often. Such men are always remembered as the Lunatic tyrants they are, eventually. _______________________________________________ http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist _______________________________________________ http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
