Simply apply a fixed voltage to the strip through two different resistances and measure the current in each case. You can now solve two simultaneous equations and determine the Vf of the LEDs and the Rseries, if there is one. You will have some error in this computation because Vf is not a constant (it increases a bit with increased current), but you should be able to learn a lot.
