Hi,

colleague of mine has used the 74HC14 approach, but obviously due to lack 
of information in the data sheet. After studying the data sheet I changed 
to the RC+Diode combination recommended also by Microchip. I put also 
additional Schottky because of the ICSP and it works great. However, I 
think the recommended resistor in series with MCLR pin is very important 
due to risk of latch-up.
