UPS is SO BAD that our University deducts the added costs of dealing with them from the invoice of any supplier who ignores the explicit order "Do NOT SHIP UPS" on the bottom of EVERY purchase order. In one case a $48 part cost $150 in customs and fees and University sent the supplier a bill for the costs. I don't know if it was paid, but I doubt that they ignored the directive again. Having just had a 'guaranteed Saturday delivery' package arrive 6 days later, I can confirm that they are a disaster to deal with on international shipments. The person who ignored my directive to use FedEx said 'they were the only one who promised they would get it there by Saturday. (Thursday ship out). I have heard literally 100's of horror stories about UPS in Canada in the 10 years or so they've been operating in Canada. User BEWARE!! You HAVE been warned.
