Hi, It could be that the sensor is suffering the die=20 revision B7 EEPROM corruption issue. Search for B7 on and you will find=20 how to identify a possible bad B7 chip. Are other chips also showing this error in Your=20 circuit?=20 Regards / Ruben >=20 > Hello guys, >=20 > i'm trying to read a dallas one wire thermometer....and i'm not sur= e=20 > if i'm doing something wrong or the sensor is broken. >=20 > I'd like to know if the sensor is broken because when connecting it= =20 > to a proto board i inverted vcc and gnd pins for about 5 seconds, and=20 > the ic got hot. >=20 > Well, from the datasheet i saw that the default read value before=20 > starting a temp conversion is 85 degrees celcius.
