Are there a set of rules that apply to rotary switches,
as far as, what connects to what.

I have a thing with an on-off-on type of switch,
it's actually, manual-off-automatic,
but I was wondering if this is a standard thing.

Any web sites that go over this?  Or catalogs,
or anything?
