I don't know if it would significantly or not.  The application
is a PIC driving a set of triacs to dim AC light loads, so it just
has to be able to synchronize the "on" time of each triac to be 
some fraction of 1/120th of a second after each interrupt.  It doesn't
have to be super-precise to get the lights to dim, but if there
was enough of a delay, it could be a problem.
