It looks like fertile ground for experimentation; perhaps there are some 
college level students among us who are looking for an interesting school 
project.  Maybe do a frequency sweep and generate some plots and data of 
output system response.  Keep in mind the nonlinear transfer 
characteristics involved and be prepared to test many different subjects to 
develop a complete understanding of the phenomena.
