Wow, dude, that's *old.* (I'm just out of school, right? Nah, I'm old enough to remember being amazed at the "new" Apple ][. I eventually built a "+" model out of a PAL motherboard from Apple I modified for NTSC output. Boy oh boy, the speed of that 1 MHz 6502. Scorching! ) A Google search found a couple of suppliers that still carry the INS8154 (or claim to). Here's one, in California: http://www.4starelectronics.com/catalog/parts/815/11.aspx They'll probably gouge you on the price, of course. -----Original Message----- From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu]On Behalf Of Joe Farr Sent: Tuesday, October 19, 2004 8:26 AM To: piclist@mit.edu Subject: [EE] Looking for INS8154 datasheet Hello, I'm trying to renovate an old ACORN SYSTEM 1 computer (circa 1979) that makes use of the now very obsolete INS8154 chip. I/O and 128bytes of RAM from what I can figure out. Does anybody have a datasheet kicking around for this part they could let me have. Theres nothing on the National web site and their reply to my Email was of no help at all. If I can get a data sheet, I'm hoping that I can program a PIC to act accordingly... A nice project to keep me busy over winter. Any help would be great. Thanks, Joe. _______________________________________________ http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist _______________________________________________ http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
