Oh, yes it will, if you've ever seen flame wars in usenet (of which I myself have been a part of) you'll know what I mean, a flame war can generate HUNDREDS of messages a day. The piclist, so far, has been quite devoid of flame wars (thankfully). > So be it funny, aggravating, offensive, or contraversial, it doesn't have to be > distracting to those who don't care for such discussion. There are MANY other areas for that sort of dribble, the PICLIST isn't one of them. > But it only works under the two conditions that no UNMOD traffic is sent > to the unsubscribed, and that by default everyone is unsubscribed so you have > to explicitly ask to be subject to it. Look how hard a time people currently have with changing tags when a topic goes astray of the tag it was started on, do you SERIOUSLY think it would be any different with an unmod channel? There would be spillover, no doubt about it. > I'm not sure about the technology, which is why I asked about it before. The technology is probably there, the technology isn't what concerns me. When people get into a "heated battle" they start "forgetting" common courtesy, and changing the tag is one of those courtesies.
